1. AI as a Coaching Assistant
At NextplAI, we use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help analyse football training clips and identify patterns within a player’s actions and decisions.
Our goal is simple: to help players understand their football better and provide clear, age-appropriate guidance that can support their development between training sessions.
2. What AI Does
AI may be used to:
- Review uploaded football clips.
- Identify key moments within a video.
- Highlight actions, decisions and outcomes.
- Support the creation of personalised feedback.
- Help suggest training activities linked to areas for improvement.
The purpose of AI is to assist the feedback process and help provide consistent, useful information to players and parents.
3. What AI Does Not Do
AI does not:
- Decide a player’s future.
- Select players for teams or academies.
- Replace coaches, parents or football clubs.
- Guarantee performance improvements.
- Make important decisions about a child’s sporting pathway.
Football development depends on many factors, including practice, coaching, enjoyment, effort and experience.
4. Human Oversight
Where appropriate, AI-generated outputs may be reviewed by a qualified coach or member of the NextplAI team before being provided to customers.
This helps ensure feedback remains relevant, understandable and suitable for young players.
5. Player-Focused Feedback
Our aim is to provide feedback that is constructive, positive and focused on learning.
We believe young players develop best when they understand what happened, why it happened and what they can try next.
6.Continuous Improvement
As technology develops, we may improve our AI systems to provide more accurate and useful feedback.
Any changes will continue to be guided by our commitment to player welfare, privacy, safeguarding and responsible use of technology.
